When & Where
As a public-private partnership, Connected Tennessee partners with technology-minded businesses, government entities, and universities to accelerate technology in the state.
In 2007, there was a widening divide in our state between those who had access to broadband and related technology and those who did not, especially in Tennessee's rural communities. Over the past four years, Connected Tennessee has set out to reverse this trend and change the technological landscape of the state and has been met with much success. While there is still work to be done, today, Tennessee is recognized as a leader in technology expansion, with more Tennesseans connected to the rest of the world than ever before. Now, Tennessee is continuing to set the standard and stay ahead of the curve in broadband education, adoption, and deployment.
